Join us for a storytime perfect for the whole family. Get ready for fun songs and stories!
Come join us for stories, songs, and fun on Wednesday mornings!
This storytime is designed for preschool-aged children. However, all are welcome. Each week we will explore a new theme through storytelling, song, and movement.
We request that parents remain present and engage with their children during the program as we learn and explore together!
Registration is not required for this event.

Join us for a very special performances by Alameda’s only Polynesian cultural arts center, Halau Makana. Let the rhythms sway you as you immerse yourself in the rich heritage of Hawaiian, Tahitian, and Maori music and dance.
Scientists from Cal State East Bay are coming to the library to play research games with kids!
Children (4-7-years-old) will have an opportunity to play a short game with a researcher, contribute to science, and win prizes.
This initiative is funded by the National Science Foundation, and run by the Cognitive Development Lab where we study early precursors of scientific thinking, curiosity, and communication.
Program will be held in the Homework Support Center in the Children‘s Room (1st floor).
This program is for kids age 6.
