Mission & History
The Castro Valley Parents Club (CVPC) provides a supportive community to parents with children of all ages, as well as expectant parents. The club emphasizes kinship among members, friendships among children, a nurturing family environment, and sharing of resources. We offer a variety of social activities, including playgroups for children, parent events of all kinds, and parties for the whole family.
The CVPC was founded in August 1994 as Castro Valley Mothers Club (CVMC) "by moms for moms". In recent years, club members have voted to expand membership to all family caregivers (2019) and to update our name to Castro Valley Parents Club (2022).
CVPC is classified as a non-profit social organization under section 501 (c)(7) of the Internal Revenue Code. The club is organized exclusively for pleasure, recreation, and other non-profit purposes. We are run by an all-volunteer steering committee. We are an active group of parents, children, and families who meet regularly.
